Our Projects

The following are just a small sample of the many projects – large and small – that we have successfully delivered to industry:

Dunbar Waste to Energy Plant: Walkways, staircases and railings installed at a new waste treatment plant.

Client: Interserve
Icon works: £1.2m

Supporting this crucial new plant for the treatment of waste from the East Lothian area, Icon fabricated five sets of open-grid metal staircases up to a height of 40m which were then lowered into place by a combination of either crane or hoist within the pre-installed structural steelwork frame.

Further work included the installation of elevated metal walkways, gantries, handrails and balustrading.

Isle of Skye: Fish Feed Plant, Kyleakin.

Client: Robertson Construction
Value: £1.35m

Having previously undertaken work on the Isle of Lewis as well as the Isle of Skye this was no problem for Icon Fabrications as we knew the environment and challenges we would face as we installed secondary steelwork to the main steel frame of an Isle of Skye fish food farm.

Our initial contract works were successfully installed and our client then awarded us various other work packages throughout this major project.

Particular attention was paid to the site conditions and weather we would experience throughout the year so fabrication of products was advanced as much as possible in our workshop to reduce on site installation time.
